PVT is dedicated to expanding fiber optic infrastructure across the cooperative. As part of this endeavor, you may observe contractors clearing land located on Otero County Electric right of ways on behalf of PVT Fiber projects. This proactive clearing is crucial for preventing wildfires and maintaining a safe environment.
In addition to vegetation management, several poles are being replaced after a thorough analysis determined that replacement is necessary. These upgrades to the power grid serving our area will provide increased capacity in both height clearance and strength to support additional fiber infrastructure.
