What to Expect During Fiber Construction
We know seeing construction crews in your neighborhood can raise questions, so here’s a step-by-step guide to what you can expect:
- Before Construction: Survey crews will be on foot in your neighborhood to gather information and finalize construction plans. If underground construction is required, you’ll see flags and spray paint marking underground utilities to ensure safety and prevent interruptions.
- Construction Begins: Crews will work in public easements on or near your property to install fiber-optic access points. You’ll be notified when construction begins.
- Cable Burial: Teams will expose underground utilities and carefully install conduits to ensure safety and proper placement of the fiber network.
- Cable and Conduit Installation: Fiber-optic cables will be pulled through conduits or installed aerially using bucket trucks from pole to pole.
- Construction Cleanup: Once installation is complete, our crews will restore your neighborhood to its original condition as much as possible. We’re your neighbors, and we take pride in leaving the area looking great.
- Fiber Service Available: Once your fiber network is live, residents and businesses can sign up for service. We’ll schedule an installation date to get you connected!
